The war is in the balance following the D-Day Normandy landings and allied troops are pushing the German forces back towards the Fatherland in ignominious retreat. You're a soldier, fully armed and fighting for victory, trying to recapture the town, but the Germans are fighting hard and, on this occasion at least, outnumber you.
